The Quantum 1650 is a bariatric powerchair from Pride's advanced Quantum range. It boasts the largest weight capacity in our range, capable of taking a hefty 46 stone (295 kg), and has an extra-wide seat with a maximum size of 32 inches wide and 28 inches deep. The reinforced frame offers the sturdiness needed for outdoors use, while mid-wheel drive helps the 1650 manoeuvre indoors.
- Large weight capacity
- Extra wide seat
- Indoor and outdoor capabilities
- Large batteries
Several seating systems are available on the Quantum 1650, from the economy standard seat, available with a high-back and headrest, to more configurable Synergy seating. The seat can be set up in a number of different sizes, allowing the wheelchair to fit the user perfectly, while the weight capacity of over 46 stone (295 kg) will accommodate most people. Additional supports can also be added if assistance is required with posture.
Mid-wheel drive means the Quantum 1650 remains manoeuvrable, though its width does limit its ability to get around narrow spaces. The reinforced frame allows the wheelchair to be used outdoors on paved surfaces - however, the suspension is limited, meaning that it is not ideal for uneven ground.
The Quantum 1650 comes as standard with twin 70 Ah batteries, which will provide the power needed for regular use. However, those looking to make extensive use of their powerchair can upgrade to four 55 Ah batteries, which offer extra power and longevity. The Quantum 1650 is not suitable for occupied transportation in any configuration.
As the largest bariatric powerchair in our range, the Quantum 1650 is best suited to particularly heavy users that require a large powerchair that will comfortably accommodate them, and which can be used indoors and out.
