Most wheelchairs have a push handle height of only 36” off the ground. For anyone who is average height or above, pushing a wheelchair with such low handles can be a problem. If you (or your spouse) are taller, then you will understand how uncomfortable it can be to stoop over to push a wheelchair. Also, you could be inviting back strain, neck strain and poor posture.
The new Handle Extender will solve this problem. It adds up to 8" of height to a standard-style wheelchair or stroller handle. It easily attaches to almost any mobility device and can be quickly adjusted to suit your height, so walking can feel good again.
The quick release cam handle allows for easy adjustment and removal. Please note when climbing curbs use existing wheelchair frame handles. Additional clamps are available for increased support to assist turning for those that require it. If brakes of the wheelchair are fitted to the handles this may interfere with fitting the extenders.
