Funding Sources For Children’s Mobility Equipment

A very popular question that we hear daily is “Where can I apply for funding for my child’s buggy/trike/wheelchair?”. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a comprehensive list of charities that you could approach for potential funding. To fix this we have spent some time putting together a list of the organisations that could possibly help you fund mobility equipment for your child.

To make it easier to find charities I have put them in categories depending on the disability they fund and the area they cover to try and save you all some time finding the right one, the majority listed however will potentially help with funding regardless of the condition the child has. We recommend getting in touch with Social Workers, Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists to check criteria with charities as they may already have knowledge of which ones to approach, alternatively show this list to your therapist to help find charities that may apply to your child.
